🏅 Best Article Award, Psychonomic Society
Makowski et al. (2019), "Phenomenal, bodily and brain correlates of fictional reappraisal as an implicit emotion regulation strategy", has won a Best Article Award from the Psychonomic Society, carrying a $1,000 prize.
Published in Cognitive, Affective, & Behavioral Neuroscience, the paper investigated how believing a distressing stimulus to be fictional changes its phenomenal, physiological and neural impact — work that would go on to seed the lab's Affective Reality Theory.
A gratifying recognition for a study that took a long road from PhD project to award-winning article.
